Cortona is a small ancient town located in the province of Arezzo (Tuscany – Italy) about 160 km from Florence. It sits atop a hill dominating the Chiana Valley and features a mostly medieval historic center with several artistic attractions and a lively calendar of cultural events.

By train: Florence-Rome railway line (Terontola or Camucia Stations) / Terontola-Perugia-Assisi-Terni railway line (Terontola Station). We suggest Camucia Station.
By car: coming from the north or south on the A1 motorway, exit at Valdichiana-Bettolle; continue on the Perugia- Bettolla link road (S75bis) in the direction of Perugia. Exit the link road at the intersection with road number SR71, and follow the signs for Cortona
Closest airports are Florence, Perugia, and Rome

Shuttle buses will be organized from Camucia train station on Sunday 10. Contact plasmonics2016@sbai.uniroma1.it and communicate your arrival time for booking!
