Professor Barbara Vantaggi on behalf of Associazione per la Matematica Applicata alla Rappresentazione dell’Incertezza per le Decisioni Economiche e Finanziarie (hereinafter also referred to as the “Data Controller”) hereby communicates that she is the Data Controller of personal data pursuant to Articles 4, no. 7) and 24 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (hereinafter, “Regulation”) and informs you pursuant to Art. 13 of the Regulation that processing will be carried out for the purposes and with the methods indicated below.

By ‘processing of personal data’ we mean any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

In accordance with the WP 260/2017 Transparency Guidelines, we first provide the contact details of the data controller and all the information required to contact them.

1. Data Controller Identification

The data will be processed manually and/or using IT or electronic means for the following purposes.

2. Purposes of Data Processing

Personal data collected through electronic forms are processed for the following primary purposes:

  • Handling and managing requests, registrations, and inquiries received through the website.
  • Executing pre-contractual and contractual obligations related to the conference registration.

According to Article 6 of the Regulation, the legal basis for processing is the necessity to respond to the data subject's requests or the legitimate interest of the Controller to manage relations with participants.

3. Data Communication

Personal data will be communicated to the following external recipients only for the pursuit of primary purposes:

  • External providers and staff involved in the management and maintenance of this website.
  • Internal personnel authorized to process data according to their specific roles and functions within the organization.
  • Third parties where communication is mandatory by law or by order of competent authorities.

3.1 Whether consent is mandatory or optional for the purposes of processing personal data.

In all the cases described (concerning the disclosure of data to third parties) – and in view of the legal bases set out in Article 6 of the Regulation –  Associazione per la Matematica Applicata alla Rappresentazione dell’Incertezza per le Decisioni Economiche e Finanziarie is not required to obtain the data subject’s specific consent to the processing. All the processing operations described above pursue primary purposes for which the Regulation excludes the need to obtain specific consent, with different legal bases as indicated above applying instead, which legitimise and render the processing lawful in the absence of the data subject’s consent.
Should the data subject nevertheless refuse to provide the personal data requested and necessary in accordance with the above, the consequence would be that it would be impossible to provide the requested responses.

4. Data Retention Period

In accordance with Art. 13(2)(a) of the Regulation, data will be kept for 24 months if no legal relationship (e.g., conference registration) develops. In the event of registration or other contractual relations, data will be stored for the duration required by legal, commercial, and administrative obligations.

5. Rights of the Data Subject

Pursuant to Articles 15 to 22 of the Regulation, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request confirmation of whether your data is being processed and obtain access to it.
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure (Right to be forgotten): Request the deletion of data under specific conditions.
  • Restriction: Request the marking of stored data with the aim of limiting their processing in the future.
  • Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Oppose the processing of your data based on legitimate interests.
