Ana Colubi

University of Oviedo, Spain

Ana Colubi is full professor at the University of Oviedo, Spain. She has over 60 publications indexed in the Web of Knowledge on probability theory, methodological statistics, data analysis, ICT and applications. She is the coordinator of the network CMStatistics, which has over 1200 members and co-organizer of the ERCIM conferences series. She is area editor of Fuzzy Sets and Systems, associate editor of Computational Statistics and Data Analysis and the International Journal of Computer Mathematics, and co-editor of Econometrics & Statistics. She is also currently Chairman-Elect of the European Board of Directors of the International Association for Statistical Computing, IASC, and chair of the COST Action CRoNos. Her main research line is in the area of statistics for expert assessments and imprecise data represented through (fuzzy) sets. Other lines of research includes flood risk, non-parametric methods and bootstrapping and intelligent data analysis.

Thierry Denoeux

University of Technology of Compiègne, France

Thierry Denoeux graduated in 1985 as an engineer from the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech in Paris, and received a doctorate from the same institution in 1989. Currently, he is Full Professor (Exceptional Class) with the Department of Information Processing Engineering at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC), France, and deputy director of the Heudiasyc research Lab (UMR 7253). His research interests concern the management of uncertainty in intelligent systems. His main contributions are in the theory of belief functions with applications to pattern recognition, data mining and information fusion. He has published more than 200 journal and conference papers in this area. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning}, and an Associate Editor of several journals including Fuzzy Sets and Systems and the International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems (IJUFKS).

Massimo Marinacci

Bocconi University, Italy

Massimo Marinacci is Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences of Bocconi University and, since 2011, he holds the AXA-Bocconi Chair in Risk. A fellow of the Econometric Society, his main research interests are in Decision Theory and Applied Mathematics.
