BOARD & LODGING

Full board and lodging and local transportations in Erice is provided for the duration to participants.

TRANSFER

Free transfers from Palermo and Trapani airports to Erice are provided by the Ettore Majorana Centre. At Arrivals, look for the meeting-point poster "Ettore Majorana Centre". Go to the tourist office in the Arrivals area if you have any problems. Should you get Palermo by train, take the "Trinacria Express" train to Palermo Airport and go to the Arrivals meeting point. In all cases, it is essential that all travel plans be finalised and made known, by fax to +39.06.44240183 and/or e-mail to concita.sibilia@uniroma1.it.

Please be sure that your name appears on the receipt which you are requested to send by fax (+39-06-44240183) and/or e-mail (concita.sibilia@uniroma1.it) and to present upon your arrival in Erice.
The fee can be paid, alternatively in Erice, upon registration:
i) in cash; ii) with travellers cheques; iii) with Eurocheques.
Credit cards are honoured by the local Bank and Post Office.


Accompanying spouses are welcome depending on the availability of double rooms. Participants should be aware that accommodation and facilities made available in Erice are modest, without being Spartan. Casual attire (no shorts) and, as the streets are cobbled, thick-soled crepe or rubber-soled shoes are recommended.

Participants are earnestly requested to give early confirmation, together with the names, that spouses will accompany them to Erice. Excursion of visits to the neighbouring archaeological sites and beaches is offered by the Ettore Majorana Centre to the participants and accompanying persons.
GRANTS

As a rule, travel and subsistence expenses of the participants are covered by their home institutions. However, some funds are available which permit the Organizing Committee to grant a subsistence allowance to a limited number of people from eastern and developing countries who will be selected by the Organizers. Scientists from developed countries are welcome to join on their own funds.
