Title: Folding, tiling and tori: a Hamiltonian analysis

Abstract:

After introducing the modular group, the projective linear group and its congruence subgroups are described; the Hecke groups are defined, and their congruence subgroups realizations are investigated. The differences between the congruence subgroups for Gamma_2 and Gamma(2) are outlined. Non-arithmetical groups are considered, along with

the possible subgroup structures. The Picard and the Vinberg groups are examined in detail according to the tools outlined. The folding (sub)group and the tiling (sub)group structures are compared and specified. Definition for geodesics trajectories are provided ()also after the Hamiltonian analysis. The possible tori arising from this description are defined.
